Review - the Ocelots - Fri 12th Sept - SPRINGBOARD @ The Espy.

ZeddES 15 Sep 2003 11:59

I made my way to the front of the Gershwin room just before The Ocelot's set. As expected, the band 'went off!!!' It seems every time I get to see this band, they are celebrating a birthday, and this night was no exception with front girl, Liz, rocking away another anniversary of her life on the planet! Last time I saw the Ocelots in July, it was Carl celebrating his birthday on the Gershwin room stage, would there be a better place to have a birthday?? The Ocelots are a rocky 4 piece, driven by Liz's acoustic guitar and livened by Tim's lead work on his shiny red fender strat!. Carl plays some very nice bass lines, even without a pick, and Jon keeps the band right on time with his solid rock drum beats. The band as a whole, and particularly Liz's vocal, makes me very reminisant of The Clouds. Their song 'Dumb' has been heard on PBS, and is a catchy number that I was still humming the next day.</title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div></title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div>
