Underpass Finale Shows!

THE UNDERPASS NO MORE

Hi All

As some of you may have heard, The Terminus Hotel has recently been taken over by new owners, and, as part of the refurbishment of the hotel, have decided to cease live music @ The Underpass for the time being.

Whilst it is possible bands may be playing sometime in the future, for now the final weekend of gigs is Friday 25th to Sunday 27th Feb.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who, over the past couple of years or so, have helped make The Underpass such an exciting, fun & vibrant part of the scene.

It’s a shame to have to end it all, but there’s no reason we can’t go out with a bang! Listed below are details of the final weekend of shows, please pass this email on to everybody you can, let’s make it a huge party weekend! Friday nite’s gig is stupendously cheap, and Saturday & Sunday arvos are both FREE!!!

Finally, a quick advert… Any bands out there who require my services as a sound engineer, please get in touch, I’m certainly gonna be available to mix from March onwards (for a modest fee, of course).

Fri 25/2 – MUSIC MOB Presents: A Grand Dynamic, Innate Desire & Liminal. 8pm $5

Music Mob are a fantastic bunch of people, who go to extraordinary lengths to keep this wonderful music scene of ours alive. They have done a few shows @ The Underpass, it’s gonna be a hoot! Check em out @ www.musicmbob.net

Sat 26/2 – UNDERPASS FINALE PT I: Seconds, The Gems, The Original Smith Family, Miguel & Mingus (RUPRECHT), James McCann & The Bitter Sweets 2pm FREE!

All of these bands have made a habit of gracing The ‘Pants stage over the last coupla years, so should be in fine form! (The Bitter Sweets also feature a brand new member -yours truly!)

Sun 27/2 – UNDERPASS FINALE PT II: Shane’s County, TrickleDown, Crack Whores, Heathen Sway, Rusti Angel 2pm FREE!

Part 2 sees us crankin it up a little (well, actually a fair bit). TrickleDown & Rusti Angel played the very first Underpass gig way back when (in fact TD played a coupla months before that, as a warm-up gig to give us some sorta idea of what we could expect of the venue).

So, there we go. It’s gonna be a corker!

Once again, thank you & please pop in & say gday/ seeya over the next coupla weeks, if not I’ll be seeing yas all out & about…

Lotta Love

It is such a shame about that venue. I am sure you will fall on your feet, mate, just wish it wasn't happening. The Mob was pretty distressed to hear about the Underpass closing...
Any idea about why the new owners made such a decision?</title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div></title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div>
