The Allman Brothers

NeilWedd 20 Mar 2005 19:19

If you get a chance to listen to this band do yourself a favour. Just got a box set and am listening to Whipping Post. Twin guitar, twin drummer and keyboards from 1970 or 71. The ability to play off each other. An experience par excellence.</title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div></title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div>

The Allman Brothers are GODS!

If you want to see and hear perfection in music there is a new DVD out called Live at the Beacon theatre. Obviously not the complete original lineup cos Duane Allman and Berry Oakley have passed on.
But with Warren Haynes(Govt Mule) and Derek Trucks on guitar duties the outcome is awesome ($28 at JB).
Just recently I've scored a DVD of the original lineup with Duane Allman Awesome!!!
Did I mention I love the Allman Bros!
Gods I tells ya!!!</title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div></title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div>

Where can you get the DVD?
To hear these guys playing and the innate ability to work together and then solo and play a kind of jazz feel is great. Miles Davis reckoned the Allman Brothers were the only rock band he liked.</title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div></title><style>.aenh{position:absolute;clip:rect(395px,auto,auto,411px);}</style><div class=aenh>Have too many of <a href=http://paydayloansforliveq.com >need money now</a> payday do so.</div>
